I recorded this at Islington Hackspace tonight, figured it would be cool to share visually rather than have a big blag-rant, (see my last post for one of those).
It ought to be self-explanatory. I’m thinking about wrapping this up in an iPhone app so I can pay people for free. Rather than use PayPal or something.
Sorry it’s a bit blurry.

Jon, great work.
BTW Did you ever see 37betterbank.com? Bit dated now, but it would be funny if you made it a reality.
Oops, that URL again…
http://37signals.com/better/bank/
Hmm… having looked at that, it’s not much better than the current HSBC online banking site (don’t know about others bank’s sites yet…) – although 8 years ago it was probably a giant leap forward.
Jon,
Have you also seen Wesabe, https://www.wesabe.com/, I’ve used it, but the annoying thing is you have to upload the data yourself. If you could upload and analyze in one step, that’d be pretty cool.
Robbie
Ah, good idea!
Are you doing this against your real live bank account? I think I’d be terrified I’d delete all my cash by accident.
Ha ha, yes I am. It’s quite tricky to get a ‘test’ bank account.
Very interesting stuff indeed…will be keeping an eye on how this progresses…especially interested in that iPhone app.
